Experimental treatments
for IGG
Obexelimab
Obexelimab is an investigational therapy being developed for IgG4-RD that is designed to block the activity of B-cells, a type of immune cell implicated in IgG4-RD. Given via under-the-skin injections, the therapy has been filed for approval in the U.S.
Rilzabrutinib
Rilzabrutinib is an experimental oral treatment being developed to reduce IgG4-RD activity and the risk of flares. It works by suppressing Bruton’s tyrosine kinase (BTK), an enzyme important for the maturation, function, and survival of B-cells and other immune cells.
Zanubrutinib
Zanubrutinib, approved for certain blood cancers, is being evaluated as a potential oral treatment for IgG4-RD. It is designed to lower survival and activity of B-cells and other immune cells by blocking the BTK enzyme.
