for IGG

Overview

There is no cure for IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD), but some treatments can help alleviate its symptoms, usually by suppressing the activity of the immune system. Currently, only one therapy is specifically approved for IgG4-RD.

Uplizna

Uplizna (inebilizumab) is a therapy approved in the U.S. for adults with IgG4-RD. Administered directly into the bloodstream every six months after two initial doses, it works by killing B-cells, a type of immune cell known to contribute to the disease.
